Location: Wales
Cymru Older People’s Alliance (COPA) is an independent, national organisation run by older people, for older people. We exist to ensure that older people across Wales are listened to and that their views shape the policies and decisions that affect their lives.
COPA plays a vital role in representing the collective voice of local 50+ Forums at a national level, working closely with Welsh Government, the Commissioner for Older People, and partner organisations to influence policy on key issues including health, social care, housing, transport, digital inclusion, and tackling isolation and loneliness.
We are now seeking to appoint a voluntary Chair of Trustees to lead the Board through the next phase of COPA’s development. This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic leadership at a national level, support strong charity governance, and act as an ambassador for older people across Wales. COPA has a committed and experienced Board, a clear strategic direction, and growing influence. With important policy developments ahead, including the implementation of the Welsh Government’s Strategy for an Ageing Society, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful and lasting impact.
